Application Process

Who completes the application?

Clubs should assign a Youth Development Professional as a YOY advsior to work closely with the YOY candidate on the application and throughout the entirety of the YOY process. 

When are applications due?

Applications and supplemental materials are due in this online application portal by the application deadline, which is approximately 30 days prior to the state Youth of the Year virtual judging date. Application deadlines and event dates as they are provided to BGCA are posted here. See YOY Event Dates in the menu bar. 

What happens after submission?

BGCA team members will review each application to ensure completeness. If any information is needed, you will be contacted by us. Prior to day of judging, the applications will be reviewed and scored by the judges in this portal.
